When you contact support, include:

  • Your iPhone model and iOS version.
  • Whether you are testing on a simulator or a real device.
  • Which alert mode or feature you were using when the issue appeared.
  • Any screenshots or a short description of what happened.

Simulator demo support

The simulator build can arm for demos and interface walkthroughs. Hardware-dependent actions such as flashlight signaling still require a real iPhone.

Face ID testing

Face ID on the simulator must be enrolled manually in the simulator menu before biometric flows can succeed.

SOS messaging

iOS requires user confirmation for Messages. The app can prepare the message, but the user still sends it through the native composer.

Flashlight alerts

Flashlight SOS signaling only works on real devices with a torch. The simulator can still be used for general alert-flow reviews.

Why did the app not place a phone call automatically?

iOS limits automatic carrier call behavior. drinklock can surface fast emergency actions, but the actual phone call flow still requires user confirmation.

Why did my SOS text not send automatically?

Native SMS sending on iPhone requires user interaction. drinklock supports quick setup, prefilled recipients, and a prepared message, but not silent carrier texting.

Can the app guarantee detection in a club?

No. It is meant to support awareness, not guarantee prevention or detection. Lighting, surfaces, device placement, and movement patterns all affect performance.
